Year of the Dog

8pm
Year of the Dog are a brass-house-soul powerhouse, fusing magnetic energy with a heartfelt edge to create a live show that moves bodies and stirs souls. Hailing from Cardiff and Bristol, they’ve built a loyal following with unforgettable performances and packed-out venues across the UK.
Now, as part of their 2026 debut album launch tour, they’re bringing it all back to The Globe at Hay after their previous 2025 sold-out show. Best known as the Swing Band in Netflix’s Sex Education, Year of the Dog will be closing out the year with their signature set of heartwarming soul, punchy dance rhythms, and brass-fuelled melodies for an unforgettable night.
2026 is a landmark year for the six-piece, releasing their highly anticipated debut album, Break Loose, produced by Abbey Road’s Rob Cass, recorded at Rockfield Studios (Queen, Oasis, Coldplay), and crowdfunded by their ever-growing fanbase.
