We are apart of the Institute of Art and Ideas, founded by English Philosopher, Hilary Lawson.
We run a wide range of events, including live music, film screenings, debates, workshops and much more! Want to run your own event? Our various spaces are highly versatile and available for private hire!
The Globe at Hay is a licensed wedding venue! From al-fresco gatherings to majestic ceremonies, couples have ample choice when staging their happily ever after.
You will find our cosy and welcoming café and bar, run in collaboration with our Burger Me Restaurant. Our talented Head Chef has specially created a variety of delicious dishes guaranteed to get your taste buds tingling.

Supporting Our Community
Community comes first at The Globe, and that the heart of who we are is our 100-acre farm in the Welsh mountains, a place that inspires our values and enriches our restaurant with truly local produce.
As the home of the Institute of Art and Ideas, a charitable organisation dedicated to free thinking, creativity, and open debate, The Globe stands as a beacon for those who want to explore, question, discuss, and challenge. We’re committed to championing the people, talent, and spirit of Hay-on-Wye and its surrounding hills! When you visit us, you support a place that proudly invests back into its roots!
